THE PLAINS WATER WELL SERVICE DIFFERENCE

At Plains Water Well Service, Inc., we combine the highest quality materials and the finest workmanship with our knowledge of the latest in technology, to provide what we call The Plains Water Well Service Difference.

Our experienced professionals build wells to last.

We grout and use steel surface casing. This is important because grouting keeps surface water from reaching and contaminating not just your ground water, but all of our ground water. Once your well becomes contaminated, it may not be reversible. If it cannot be decontaminated your only option is to abandon the well.

Steel surface casing protects your well from being damaged and is not vulnerable to UV light, unlike PVC. Steel surface casing also is a natural ground, so even if your pump shorts out it will safely ground. Steel surface casing and grout protect your investment.

Quality PVC casing used to case your well. Ask to see a sample of what your driller is using; there are different qualities and thicknesses available. This can really make a difference in the longevity of your well.

Factory perforated PVC casing. This is very important, because the finer the openings, the more it prevents sediment from filling your well. We use factory laser cut perforated PVC casing at an expense of less than a $1/foot to the cost of a well. (Others may use a skill saw to cut their perforations, creating much larger openings.) This simple step of laser cut perforations can add years to the life of your well and your pump.

Steel well casing. For certain geology formations we use steel casing throughout the entire well. When we do this, we use factory perforated casing where needed as well.

Gluing and screwing. Many companies glue the joints of the PVC casing in their wells. We glue and screw our joints; creating a chemical as well as a mechanical connection, for just pennies more per joint. This simple mechanical bond decreases the chance of separation and protects your investment.

Water pump impellers: steel or Kevlar vs. plastic? We recommend and use steel or Kevlar impellers in the pumps we install. Due to the very nature of a water well, sand or grit can wear down the edges of a plastic impeller over time, increasing the gap between the impeller and interior casing. As this gap grows, the pump looses its ability to pump and becomes so inefficient that it runs non-stop trying to meet the demand. When this happens you will notice a decrease in water pressure and a large increase in your electric bill!

We disinfect our wells. The very process of drilling a well, or installing or removing a pump is a dirty job and the tools and materials in this process simply are not sanitary. That is why Plains Water Well Service will disinfect your well when we complete a well or install or remove a pump. This may create a temporary chlorine taste but it will go away just by letting your faucets run for a short time. Protecting your well and your family are important to us.
